Our team of Community Support Workers plays an important role in helping clients remain independent, connected, and supported in their everyday lives. We are currently seeking experienced Community Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support across metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding areas.

Your duties may include:

Domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
Transport assistance for appointments, shopping and community activities.
Social support and community participation.
Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
Medication assistance in accordance with care plans, training and scope of role.

To be successful in this role, you must:

Have a minimum of 3 months' experience in community care or a similar support role.
Hold a valid Australian driver's licence and have access to your own reliable vehicle.
Be available to work across a 7-day rotating roster, Monday to Sunday.
Be comfortable travelling between clients within the community.
Demonstrate strong communication, reliability and a professional approach.
Be committed to providing safe, respectful and person-centred support.
Hold or be willing to maintain all relevant screening, compliance and training requirements.

Responsible For

As a Community Support Worker with CCNASA, you will provide respectful, person-centred support to clients in their homes and within the community. Your responsibilities may include:

Personal Care – assisting with showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility and other activities of daily living.
Domestic Assistance – supporting clients with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and general household tasks.
Transport Assistance – safely transporting clients to appointments, shopping, social activities and other community engagements.
Social Support – providing companionship and supporting clients to remain socially active and connected.
Community Participation – assisting clients to access community activities, appointments, services and recreational opportunities.
Medication Assistance – providing medication assistance in accordance with the client’s care plan, relevant training, organisational procedures and scope of role.
Meal Preparation – preparing meals according to individual preferences, dietary requirements and care plans.
Mobility Support – assisting clients with safe movement, transfers and mobility where required.
Following Care Plans – delivering support in accordance with individual care plans, instructions and client preferences.
Monitoring & Reporting – observing and reporting changes in a client’s wellbeing, behaviour or support needs through appropriate channels.
Documentation – completing required progress notes, records and other documentation accurately and on time.
Safety & Professional Standards – maintaining client dignity, privacy, confidentiality, choice and independence while following CCNASA policies and relevant work health and safety requirements.

Additional Requirements

Minimum 3 months' experience working in community care, home care, disability support or a similar role.
Current and valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle for travelling between clients and providing transport support where required.
Current National Police Check.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable.
Current Working with Children Check, where required.
Evidence of required vaccinations/immunisations relevant to the services being provided.
Valid Australian working rights.
Ability and willingness to travel between client locations across metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding areas.
Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, including mornings, afternoons and weekends as required.
Ability to provide required employment references and compliance documentation.
Willingness to complete CCNASA's onboarding, induction and mandatory training requirements before commencing work.

Educational Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Community) or equivalent/relevant qualification.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Current CPR Certificate.
Current Manual Handling training.
Current Medication Assistance training, where medication support forms part of the role.
Relevant infection prevention and control training.
Willingness to complete and maintain all mandatory training and compliance requirements applicable to the role.
