Specific Skills

Previous experience within residential aged care environment/ Hospital
Basic food hygiene knowledge
3x Covid-19 Vaccinations (Booster included)
Recent Flu vaccination
Current national police check
Understanding of OHS legislation
Understanding of IDDSI Standards
Cultural awareness
Ability to work within a team or unsupervised
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must have a car and driving license - willing to travel across Adelaide’s metropolitan/ Northern and southern areas

Responsible For

Ability to produce high quality meals in line with HACCP guidelines and quality assurance
Assisting with menu planning
Assist with putting away deliveries and general kitchen set-up and close down
Ensuring a safe working environment
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HACCP
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, ensuring the correct uniform is worn

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Demonstrated knowledge of textured modified foods and special dietary needs
Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Minimum 6 Months
